Ingredients/Components
- self-rising flour - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 3 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- egg, beaten well - 1 item
- fresh or leftover salted mashed potatoes - 2 c
How to make potato cakes:
Mix together potatoes, beaten egg, onion and flour. With floured hands, make into patties. Fry in hot oil, turning to brown on both sides about 5 minutes per side. Makes about 10 to 12 cakes according to size.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Vegetables.
