Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- stalk celery - 1 item
- can mushrooms - 1 item
- onions - 2 item
- heads cabbage - 2 item
- chop suey mix or bean sprouts - 2 pkg
- to 3 pork steaks - 2 item
How to make pork chow mein:
Chop cabbage, onions and celery. Put into large pot. Wash and drain chop suey mix. Add to other pot. Add 1 cup water. Cook over low heat about 40 minutes or until celery is cooked. Drain. Cut pork steaks into 1 or 2-inch pieces. Flour, then brown in a large skillet. When meat is almost done, add a can of mushrooms and finish cooking. Add meat to other ingredients; mix well. Pour over crispy or soft noodles. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Meat, Pork, Chinese.
