Pork chow mein
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 3 c
- soy sauce - 1/4 c
- can water chestnuts - 1 item
- fresh mushrooms, sliced - 1 c
- can beef broth - 1 item
- can bean sprouts, drained - 1 item
- Pork, cut into thin strips - 1 lb
How to make pork chow mein:
Cook pork in 1 tbsp. hot oil till done. Saut celery, onions and mushrooms in 2 tbsp. oil until tender, 2-3 minutes stirring often. Blend cornstarch and 1/4 c. broth. Add rest of broth and soy sauce. Add broth mix and meat to vegetable mixture along with bean sprouts and water chestnuts. Heat and stir until thickened. Serve over rice or chow mein noodles.Recipe categories: Meat, Pork, Chinese.
