Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
  • garlic salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/3 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • celery salt - 1/3 tsp
  • uncooked, regular rice - 1/2 c

How to make porcupine meatballs:

Mix hamburger, rice, 1/2 cup water, onion, salts and pepper. Shape mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls into balls. Cook meatballs in skillet until brown on all sides; drain.

Mix remaining ingredients; pour over meatballs. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add water during cooking if necessary.
