  • salt - 1/2 c
  • flour
  • water - 2 c
  • oil - 1 Tbsp
  • powdered alum - 2 Tbsp

How to make play clay:

Boil water. Add powdered alum, oil and salt. Pour over flour. Mix and put on low heat. Stir until it feels like clay. Add desired food coloring. Store in airtight containers.
