Ingredients/Components

  • water
  • vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
  • 5 oz
  • 4 oz - 1 c
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • thinly sliced pepperoni - 4 oz
  • medium green bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • sliced, fresh mushrooms - 1 c
  • mostaccioli, cooked and drained - 8 oz

How to make pizza pasta:

In a large skillet, brown pepperoni and drain fat. Add green pepper, onion and mushrooms. Saute 5 minutes. Add extra rich and thick spaghetti sauce seasoning blend, tomato paste, water and oil; blend well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Add cooked mostaccioli; blend well. Pour into 12 x 8 x 2-inch casserole. Top with Mozzarella cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Garnish with green pepper slices and additional pepperoni.

You can substitute elbow macaroni or shells for the mostaccioli.
