Pizza pasta
Ingredients/Components
- water
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- 5 oz
- 4 oz - 1 c
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- thinly sliced pepperoni - 4 oz
- medium green bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- sliced, fresh mushrooms - 1 c
- mostaccioli, cooked and drained - 8 oz
How to make pizza pasta:
In a large skillet, brown pepperoni and drain fat. Add green pepper, onion and mushrooms. Saute 5 minutes. Add extra rich and thick spaghetti sauce seasoning blend, tomato paste, water and oil; blend well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Add cooked mostaccioli; blend well. Pour into 12 x 8 x 2-inch casserole. Top with Mozzarella cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.Garnish with green pepper slices and additional pepperoni.
You can substitute elbow macaroni or shells for the mostaccioli.
