Pizza meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 1 lb
- Italian-style fine, dry bread crumbs - 1 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- instant minced onions - 2 Tbsp
- garlic salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Mozzarella cheese, cut into 24 1/2-inch cubes - 4 oz
- jar pizza sauce - 1 oz
- shredded lettuce - 1 item
- sliced mushrooms - 1 item
How to make pizza meatballs:
Combine first 6 ingredients; mix well. Cover each cheese cube with about 1 tablespoon meat mixture, carefully sealing all around. Place meatballs in a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Place pizza sauce in a large pot. Cook over medium just until boiling. Add meatballs. Stir gently and cook until heated through. If desired, serve on a bed of lettuce and garnish with mushrooms. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Main dish, One Dish meal.
