  • vegetable oil - 2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • wonton skins - 1 pkg
  • garlic salt - 1 tsp
  • soy sauce - 1/2 tsp
  • ketchup - 1 Tbsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • minced white onion - 1 Tbsp
  • distilled vinegar - 1/4 c
  • ground chicken, turkey or pork - 1 c
  • minced fresh coriander or cilantro - 1/2 tsp
  • water, mixed well use for sealing wonton - 1 yolk
  • Place about 1 teaspoon of meat mixture in the center of the wonton skin, fold over, bring the two corners around in shape of wonton and press corners of the wrapper together seal with the egg yolk and water mixture

How to make fried wonton:

In a bowl, mix first 7 ingredients. Place about 1 teaspoon of meat mixture in the center of the wonton skin, fold over, bring the two corners around in shape of wonton and press corners of the wrapper together (seal with the egg yolk and water mixture). Fry in hot oil for 3 to 5 minutes. Drain on paper towel. Serve with "Sweet and Sour Sauce".Sweet and Sour Sauce:1 c. sugar1/4 c. distilled vinegar1 tsp. garlic salt1 Tbsp. ketchup In a small pot, put all the ingredients. Using low heat, bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool before serving. This will keep in the refrigerator for several weeks, in a tightly covered jar.
