Pistachio pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- cocoa - 1 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- chopped pistachio nuts - 1/2 c
- box any type white cake mix - 1 item
- box pistachio pudding instant or regular - 1 item
How to make pistachio pound cake:
Mix the first 6 ingredients together and put aside. In a saucepan over low heat, mix remaining ingredients. Grease 2 loaf pans. Add 1/2 of saucepan mixture to each pan. Add 1/2 of cake mix/pudding mixture to each pan. (This mixture will not spread evenly, but it will rise and fill loaf pan completely during baking.) Bake for approximately 1 hour at 300°. Cool completely before removing.If the topping (saucepan mixture) sticks to the bottom of the loaf pan, just scoop it out and pat it down (firmly) on top of each loaf.
