Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1 c
- large eggs - 5 item
- powdered sugar
- sifted all-purpose flour - 3 c
- crushed pineapple - 3/4 c
- drained crushed pineapple - 1 c
How to make pineapple pound cake:
Topping:1/4 c. butter1 c. drained crushed pineapple1 1/2 c. powdered sugar Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beating well after each. Alternate dry ingredients with milk. Stir in pineapple and vanilla. Bake in large tube pan at 325° for one hour and 25 minutes.Topping: Combine all ingredients and pour over cake while hot.
