Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 Tbsp
- melted butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- can pineapple chunks - 1 oz
- pineapple juice - 3 Tbsp
- shredded cheese - 1 c
- buttery cracker crumbs - 1/2 c
How to make pineapple casserole:
Drain pineapple, reserving 3 tablespoons of juice. Combine sugar and flour. Stir in reserved juice. Add cheese and pineapple chunks, mixing well. Spoon mixture into a greased 1-quart flat casserole dish.Combine melted butter and cracker crumbs. Sprinkle over pineapple mixture. Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes or until crumbs are lightly browned. Yields 4 to 6 servings. May double or triple recipe.
