Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- whole cloves - 3 item
- black peppercorns, crushed - 4 item
- large red onions, very thinly sliced - 3 item
- tarragon red wine vinegar - 1 c
How to make pickled red onions:
Place onions in a saucepan with the vinegar and enough cold water (about 1 cup) to cover. Add sugar, cloves and peppercorns. Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes or until the onions are tender. Refrigerate until ready to serve.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Salads, Vegetables.
