Ingredients/Components
- vinegar - 8 Tbsp
- okra - 1 gal
- salt not iodized - 4 Tbsp
How to make pickled okra:
Wash okra and cut thick. Combine all ingredients; cover with hot water. Cook until green turns brown. Put in hot jars and seal. If you want to cook some of it, drain it but don't add any more salt. Delicious floured or mealed and fried.Recipe categories: American, North american, Kwanzaa.
