Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 4 c
- vinegar - 1 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- small onion - 1 item
- hard-boiled eggs - 12 item
- beet juice - 1 c
- pickling spice - 2 tsp
How to make pickled eggs:
Peel eggs and place in jar. Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat. Remove and discard onion. Pour hot liquid over eggs. Seal with an airtight lid. Refrigerate 2 days before using. Will store up to 2 weeks.Recipe categories: Egg, Lunch/snacks, Appetizers.
