Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 c
- vinegar - 3 c
- allspice - 2 tsp
- ground cinnamon
- whole cloves - 1/2 tsp
- beets - 4 qt
How to make pickled beets:
Cook beets until tender. Slip off skins. Combine rest of ingredients and bring to boil. Simmer 5 minutes. Add beets and simmer 5 more minutes. Pack beets into hot jars, fill with syrup and seal.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Condiments, etc., Salads.
