Persimmon cookies

sugar - 1 c
cinnamon - 1 tsp
salt - 1/4 tsp
chopped nuts - 1 c
flour - 2 c
nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
baking soda - 1 tsp
egg - 1 item
shortening - 1/2 c
raisins - 1 c
cloves - 1/2 tsp
persimmon pulp - 1 c

How to make persimmon cookies:

Mix persimmon pulp and soda. Let stand. Cream shortening, sugar and egg until soft and well blended. Sift flour, salt and spices together. Add pulp mixture into creamed mixture. Gradually add dry mixture, then nuts and raisins. Mix well. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
