Pepper relish
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 c
- salt - 1/2 c
- water - 2 c
- vinegar - 3 c
- celery seed - 1 Tbsp
- cabbage - 4 c
- green peppers - 6 item
- turmeric
- onions - 4 c
- red peppers - 6 item
- mustard dry - 2 Tbsp
- tomatoes ripe or green - 4 c
How to make pepper relish:
Grind vegetables or chop finely. Sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight. Rinse and drain well. Mix remaining ingredients and cook 3 minutes. Pour over vegetables and cook all together for 3 minutes after it boils. Fill hot jars and seal.Recipe categories: Sauces, Salsas, Jams and preserves.
