Pecan spice cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- large eggs - 3 item
- molasses - 1/4 c
- ground cloves
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- ground mace - 1/2 tsp
How to make pecan spice cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 8-inch square baking pan. Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices together into a large mixing bowl. Place butter in a large mixing bowl and cream until soft. Gradually beat in the sugar and eggs. Stir in pecans. Add the flour mixture alternately with molasses and milk, beating well after each addition. Spoon into pan. Bake 40 to 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
