Special k bars

Ingredients/Components

• firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
• corn syrup - 1 c
• peanut butter - 1/2 c
• seedless raisins - 1/2 c
• Special K cereal - 5 c

How to make special k bars:

Measure corn syrup and brown sugar into large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved and mixture bubbles. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and raisins. Add Special K cereal. Stir until well coated. With back of spoon, press mixture evenly and firmly into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan sprayed with vegetable cooking spray. Let stand until cool. Cut into bars. Yields 20 bars.

Microwave Directions: In a large microwave-safe mixing bowl combine corn syrup and brown sugar. Place in microwave and heat at High 2 minutes or until mixture is bubbly. Remove from oven and mix in peanut butter and raisins. Stir in cereal until well coated. Follow remaining instructions.
