Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • melted butter - 4 Tbsp
  • coarsely chopped nuts - 3 c
  • eggs, beaten slightly - 5 item
  • Karo corn syrup
  • frozen unbaked 9-inch pie crusts or favorite homemade recipe - 2 item
  • light brown sugar or white

How to make pecan pie:

Mix eggs, syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla. Add pecans. Divide into 2 pie shells. Bake at 350° about 50 minutes. Check after 40 minutes frequently. Wait until golden brown and let set but not "too" brown. May serve with unsweetened whipped cream. Great for holidays.
