Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • all-purpose flour
  • brown sugar, packed - 1 c
  • 10x sugar - 3/4 c
  • shortening, softened - 3/4 c

How to make pecan fingers:

Preheat oven to 350°. Cream shortening and 10x sugar. Blend in 1 1/2 cups flour. Press evenly in bottom of ungreased baking pan (12 x 9 x 2-inch). Bake 12 to 15 minutes.

Mix remaining ingredients. Spread over hot baked layer and bake 20 minutes longer. Cool. Cut into bars (3 x 1-inch).
