Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • granulated sugar - 6 Tbsp
  • butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • brown sugar - 6 Tbsp
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • sifted all-purpose flour

How to make pecan crispies:

Set oven to 375°. Cream butter and sugars until light. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients; blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from pan. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
