  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • light brown sugar - 1 c
  • sifted all-purpose flour
  • chunky peanut butter - 3/4 c
  • salted Spanish peanuts - 1 c

How to make peanut butter drops:

Preheat oven to 375°. Sift flour with soda, salt, ginger and cloves; set aside. In large bowl with wooden spoon or portable electric mixer at medium speed, beat shortening, peanut butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and milk; beat until smooth. Stir in flour mixture and peanuts until thoroughly combined. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 1 minute before removing from cookie sheets. Remove from racks and let cool.
