  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • shortening - 1 c
  • peanut butter - 1 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • soda, sifted with 3 c - 2 tsp

How to make peanut butter cookies:

Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add beaten eggs. Stir in peanut butter, then dry ingredients. Form into balls and place on cookie sheet (greased) and press with fork to make crisscross. Bake 10 minutes in 375° oven. Makes 50 to 60 small cookies.
