Ingredients/Components

  • all-purpose flour
  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening Crisco - 1/2 c
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk chocolate candy kisses without wrappers - 48 item

How to make peanut blossoms:

In a large mixer bowl, combine all ingredients, except candy kisses. Blend well at low speed. Shape into balls, using a rounded teaspoonful for each. Roll balls in additional sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven. Top each cookie immediately with a candy kiss, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge.
