Peach rice pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
- honey - 1/4 c
- ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- cooked rice
- grated lemon peel - 1/2 tsp
- can peaches, sliced - 1 oz
How to make peach rice pudding:
Combine rice, milk and sugar. Cook over medium heat in 3-quart saucepan until thick and creamy, about 20 to 25 minutes, stirring often. Add vanilla. Pour into serving dish. Heat honey, butter, lemon juice, lemon peel, nutmeg and salt. Stir in drained peaches. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Spoon over pudding.
