Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • sliced fresh peaches - 2 c
  • flour self-rising - 3/4 c

How to make peach cobbler:

Mix peaches with 1 cup sugar; let stand. Put butter in 2-quart casserole. Melt in 325° oven.

Combine remaining flour, sugar and milk; pour over margarine. Spoon peaches over batter. Do not stir. Bake 1 hour at 325°. The crust will be crispier when baked in shallow, rectangular, 2-quart casserole.

Note: Can use any fresh or canned fruit. If using already sweetened fruit, omit the 1 cup sugar used in the fruit.
