Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 tsp
- eggs, separated - 4 item
- whipped cream - 1 item
- lemon juice - 4 Tbsp
- white vinegar - 1 tsp
How to make pavlova:
Bring egg whites to room temperature. Beat until they are really stiff; they look dry. Mix together sugar and cornstarch. Add to egg whites and mix in very fast. Add vinegar and beat only enough to mix. Form mixture in a mounded circle on aluminum foil, greased very lightly. Flatten top. Heat oven to 300°, turn down to 225°; bake for 45 minutes. Turn oven off for 30 minutes; do not open during this time. Turn upside down on plate.Mix egg yolks with sugar and lemon juice. Cook in double boiler until thick. Spread on Pavlova. Cover with whipped cream. A dessert from New Zealand!
