Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- basil - 2 tsp
- hamburger - 1 lb
- chopped parsley - 1/4 c
- beef bouillon cubes - 3 item
- can kidney beans, drained - 1 item
- spiral pasta - 6 oz
- can pinto beans, drained - 1 item
- can navy beans, drained - 1 item
- clove chopped garlic - 1/2 item
- small jar spaghetti sauce - 1 item
- carrots, julienned - 1 c
- cans chopped stewed tomatoes - 2 item
How to make pasta e fagioli soup:
Brown hamburger meat and onions; drain. Add all other ingredients except beans and pasta. Simmer 1 hour. Cook pasta for 5 minutes; drain. Add beans and cooked pasta to soup. Simmer 30 minutes. Extra water may be added for thinner consistency.Recipe categories: Clear soup, Main dish, One Dish meal.
