  • water - 2 c
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • chopped onions - 1/2 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • basil - 2 tsp
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • chopped parsley - 1/4 c
  • beef bouillon cubes - 3 item
  • can kidney beans, drained - 1 item
  • spiral pasta - 6 oz
  • can pinto beans, drained - 1 item
  • can navy beans, drained - 1 item
  • clove chopped garlic - 1/2 item
  • small jar spaghetti sauce - 1 item
  • carrots, julienned - 1 c
  • cans chopped stewed tomatoes - 2 item

How to make pasta e fagioli soup:

Brown hamburger meat and onions; drain. Add all other ingredients except beans and pasta. Simmer 1 hour. Cook pasta for 5 minutes; drain. Add beans and cooked pasta to soup. Simmer 30 minutes. Extra water may be added for thinner consistency.
