Ingredients/Components

  • ground round - 1 lb
  • slices bread, dried and crumbled - 2 item
  • eggs - 2 item
  • Romano cheese - 1/2 c
  • parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • Brown slightly
  • tomato paste - 8 oz
  • water - 4 c
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • margarine - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
  • crushed red pepper optional - 1 item

How to make meatballs:

Mix all ingredients and form into small balls. Brown slightly. Drain on paper towels. Place in skillet and cover with sauce. Simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.Sauce for Meatballs:1 large chopped onion8 oz. tomato paste4 c. water3 tsp. Romano cheese1 tsp. sugar1 tsp. oregano1 tsp. garlic powder1/2 tsp. basil1/2 tsp. margarine1 tsp. salt2 beef bouillon cubes crushed red pepper (optional) Combine all ingredients and pour over meatballs.
