Oven-barbecued ribs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/3 c
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- catsup
- large onion, thinly sliced - 1 item
- lemon, thinly sliced - 1 item
- dashes Tabasco sauce - 2 item
- spareribs or loin back ribs, cut in pieces - 3 4
How to make oven-barbecued ribs:
Basting Sauce:1 c. catsup1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce1 tsp. chili powder1 tsp. salt2 dashes Tabasco sauce1 1/2 c. water Salt ribs and place in shallow roasting pan, meat side up. Roast about 30 minutes at 450°. Drain excess fat. Top each piece of ribs with a slice of unpeeled lemon and slice of onion.Make basting sauce. Bring to a boil. Pour over ribs. Lower temperature to 300°. Bake until well done, about 1 1/2 hours. Baste ribs with sauce every 15 minutes. If sauce gets too thick, add more water.
