Oatmeal scotchies
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- chocolate chips - 1 c
- large eggs - 2 item
- brown sugar, packed - 3/4 c
- vanilla or grated peel of 1 orange - 1 tsp
- uncooked quick or old-fashioned oats - 3 c
- butterscotch flavored morsels
How to make oatmeal scotchies:
Preheat oven to 375°. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in small bowl. Beat butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla in large bowl. Add flour mixture. Stir in oats, morsels and chips. Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes for chewy cookies or 9 to 10 minutes for crispy cookies. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, then place on wire rack to cool.
