Sugar cookies

Ingredients/Components

• flour - 3 c
• baking powder - 2 tsp
• soda
• nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• butter - 1 c
• eggs - 2 item
• sweet milk - 1/4 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• sugar - 1 c

How to make sugar cookies:

Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, nutmeg and salt. Work 1 cup butter into mixture as you would for pie crust. In another bowl, beat eggs, sweet milk, vanilla and sugar. Beat well and pour into first mixture, stirring until well mixed. Drop by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in hot oven at approximately 400° until golden brown, approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Dough may be covered overnight in refrigerator to make rolled cookies.
