  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • flour
  • water - 3/4 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • shortening - 2/3 c
  • nuts - 1 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • oatmeal - 2 c

How to make oatmeal-raisin cookies:

Cook raisins in water. Set aside to cool. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs, then add raisins and water. Add the rest of ingredients. Mix; drop on cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until done. Do not overbake.
