- soda - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1 c
- butter or margarine, melted - 1 c
- salt optional - 3/4 tsp
- Quaker oats quick or old fashioned, uncooked - 3 c
- jar preserves - 1 to
How to make oatmeal jumble bars:
Heat oven to 400°. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except preserves. Mix well. Reserve 1 cup mixture. Press remaining onto bottom of prepared pan. Spread preserves evenly over base to within 1/2-inch of edge of pan. Sprinkle with reserved mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
