Ingredients/Components
- 1/2 cubes butter, softened - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- water - 1/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- fruit and nuts - 1 item
- flour - 1 c
- rolled oats - 3 c
- each or about 10 each chopped dates, pitted prunes, figs, raisins, nuts
How to make oatmeal fruit cookies:
Fruit:1/2 c. each or about 10 each chopped dates, pitted prunes, figs, raisins, nuts If you add fruit and nuts where listed it will mix easier and separate them. Mix ingredients in a bowl in the order listed. Drop by teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet. Mixture will be stiff and dry, but keep "bashing" until all oatmeal is moistened.
