Oatmeal cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour
• brown sugar - 1 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• shortening - 1 c
• chopped nuts optional - 1 c
• Quick oats - 3 c

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Cream shortening and sugars. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and soda. Fold into creamed mixture. Stir in oats and nuts. Roll into small balls and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
