Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- flaked coconut - 1 c
- boiling water
- nuts - 1 c
- butter, melted - 1/2 c
- canned milk - 1/4 c
- stick butter or margarine - 1 item
- Minute oatmeal - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Frosting:1 c. brown sugar1 c. flaked coconut1/2 c. butter, melted1/4 c. canned milk1 c. nuts1 tsp. vanilla Cake: Pour boiling water over oatmeal, mix together and let stand 20 minutes. Cream the butter and sugars together, then add eggs, one at a time. Stir in oatmeal and salt. Add flour and beat. Pour into a greased pan (do not flour pan).
