Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- margarine - 1/2 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick oats - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:1/2 c. brown sugar1 c. coconut1/4 c. milk6 Tbsp. butter1/2 c. chopped nuts Mix oats and boiling water and let stand 20 minutes. Cream margarine, sugars and eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients and vanilla. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.Melt butter and brown sugar in saucepan. Add coconut, nuts and milk. Spread topping on hot cake. Place under broiler and toast.
