  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 6 Tbsp
  • coconut - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • quick oats - 1 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Topping:1/2 c. brown sugar1 c. coconut1/4 c. milk6 Tbsp. butter1/2 c. chopped nuts Mix oats and boiling water and let stand 20 minutes. Cream margarine, sugars and eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients and vanilla. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.

Melt butter and brown sugar in saucepan. Add coconut, nuts and milk. Spread topping on hot cake. Place under broiler and toast.
