Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- boiling water
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick oats - 1 c
- stick oleo - 1 item
- canned milk - 1/4 c
- Add beaten eggs and vanilla
How to make oatmeal cake:
Pour boiling water over oats and let stand 20 minutes, then add butter and sugars; mix well. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together. Add and mix well. Bake in a 13 x 9-inch pan at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.Topping:1 c. coconut1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. canned milk4 Tbsp. butter Mix all together and spread on cake while hot; place under broiler until golden brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
