Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 item
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- cream - 1/4 c
- oleo - 1/2 c
- oatmeal - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Icing:6 Tbsp. oleo1/4 c. cream1 c. coconut2/3 c. brown sugar1/2 tsp. vanilla Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand 20 minutes. Add rest of ingredients and put in 8 x 12-inch pan, greased. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. (May use 1/2 recipe for small glass dish.)Icing: Combine ingredients and spread over hot cake. Put under broiler to brown.
