Oatmeal cake

Ingredients/Components

• boiling water
• oatmeal - 1 c
• stick butter - 1 item
• sugar - 1 c
• brown sugar - 1 c
• beaten eggs - 2 item
• sifted flour
• soda - 1 tsp
• baking powder - 1/2 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• Pet milk - 1/4 c
• coconut - 1/2 c
• chopped nuts - 1/2 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Topping:1 c. brown sugar1/2 stick butter1/4 c. Pet milk1/2 c. coconut1/2 c. chopped nuts Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and beaten eggs; add to softened oatmeal. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in a large greased pan for 30 to 35 minutes.

Topping: Mix; spread on cake. Put under broiler for a few minutes until slightly browned.
