Ingredients/Components
- boiling water
- oatmeal - 1 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- sugar - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- sifted flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- Pet milk - 1/4 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:1 c. brown sugar1/2 stick butter1/4 c. Pet milk1/2 c. coconut1/2 c. chopped nuts Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and beaten eggs; add to softened oatmeal. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in a large greased pan for 30 to 35 minutes.Topping: Mix; spread on cake. Put under broiler for a few minutes until slightly browned.
