Ingredients/Components
- active dry yeast - 2 pkg
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- warm water - 1/2 c
- quick cooking rolled oats - 1 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- boiling water
- shortening - 1/3 c
- molasses - 1/2 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- flour
How to make oatmeal bread:
Mix yeast, sugar, and water together until yeast is dissolved. Add rest of ingredients. Let rise until double, punch down, make into loaves and let rise until above pans. Bake at 400° for 35 to 45 minutes or until done.Recipe categories: Breads, Low fat, Yeast breads.
