  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt
  • flour - 4 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • shortening

How to make no fail pie crust:

Blend flour, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening until particles are the size of peas. Beat egg; blend in vinegar and cold water. Sprinkle over flour mixture a tablespoon at a time, tossing with fork to mix. Gather dough together with fingers. Divide into small sections and wrap to freeze if desired. Makes 5 (9-inch) crusts.
