Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 4 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • cold water - 3 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • shortening
  • plus 2 Tbsp - 1 c
  • canola oil - 1/3 c
  • salt no substitute - 1/2 tsp

How to make no fail pie crust:

Mix with wooden spoon until damp. Work quickly and lightly, as should not be over mixed. Roll between sheets of waxed paper. Peel off top paper and flip over into pie pan. This makes one large shell. Can double or triple if desired.

Special Note: If the shell breaks, or you have a problem flipping it over, simply patch and work with it as it is very pliable.
