Ingredients/Components

  • water - 3 c
  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • lean hamburger - 1/2 lb
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • spaghetti - 12 oz
  • can tomatoes, chopped - 1 oz

How to make my spaghetti sauce:

Brown hamburger and onion. Add all other ingredients, except spaghetti noodles, adjusting more or less oregano, garlic salt and salt and pepper to your taste. Simmer 2 hours. Use less water if cooking time is shorter.

When sauce is almost ready, cook spaghetti as directed on package. Serve the sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Serves 6.

This is good with fresh mushrooms added. This is a low calorie and lo-fat dinner. Contains 164 calories, 31 mg. cholesterol and 6.3 grams fat per serving. Fat calories are about 19%.
