  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • can tomato paste - 1 item
  • medium potatoes - 6 item
  • can corn - 1 item
  • cayenne pepper - 1 tsp
  • large onion - 1 item
  • cans English peas - 2 item
  • hot peppers - 3 item
  • large cans tomatoes - 2 item
  • buttons garlic - 3 item
  • large hen or 5 chicken breasts - 1 item

How to make mulligan stew:

Cook chicken and cut up. To the stock, add diced onions, potatoes, garlic, hot peppers, cayenne pepper and tomatoes. Cook slowly for 2 hours. Add tomato paste, diced chicken and English peas. Simmer for 30 minutes. Thicken with more tomato paste or flour mixture, if necessary. Add corn just before serving and stir frequently to keep from scorching.
