- water to cover - 1 item
- salt & pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium diced onions - 2 item
- jar home canned tomatoes - 1 item
- lb diced, trimmed lamb meat floured - 2 item
- large potatoes diced - 6 item
- large carrots diced - 8 item
- turnips diced secret ingredient - 4 item
How to make mulligan stew:
Fry floured meat until brown, drain and discard fat.Add all ingredients except the potatoes, cover with water and simmer for several hours, preferably on the back of a coal stove. Add potatoes the last half hour before serving.
Serve hot with fresh hot homemade bread. What a feast!
