Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- warm water - 1/4 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make monkey bread:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add 1 teaspoon sugar; let rise. Mix egg, sugar, vegetable oil, salt and 1 cup warm water to yeast mixture. Add about 4 cups flour. Put in a greased bowl and let rise. Let stay in refrigerator overnight.Roll out dough and cut in strips. Melt 1 stick of butter and roll each strip in the butter. Lay each strip in Bundt pan. Let rise and bake. Start oven at 350°. Cook 10 to 15 minutes; turn oven up to 375° for 30 minutes.
