Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 8 oz
- Parmesan cheese - 1 item
- parsley flakes - 1 c
- ground turkey
- oregano - 1 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 1 pkg
- nonfat cottage cheese - 16 oz
- minced garlic - 1 Tbsp
- lasagna noodles - 8 item
- lasagna noodles, cooked - 9 item
- ground beef, browned and drained - 1 lb
- cottage cheese or Ricotta cheese
- low-fat spaghetti sauce - 2 c
- Sauce:1 large can tomato sauce
How to make mom's lasagna:
Sauce:1 large can tomato sauce1 Tbsp. minced garlic1 tsp. oregano salt and pepper1 pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese Parmesan cheese For Nonfat Variation:3/4 lb. ground turkey8 lasagna noodles16 oz. nonfat cottage cheese2 c. low-fat spaghetti sauce8 oz. pkg. nonfat shredded Mozzarella cheese Mix tomato sauce mixture with beef in skillet. In separate bowl, mix cottage cheese and parsley flakes. Lay 3 noodles, end to end in 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Pour 1/3 of the tomato sauce mixture over noodles. Place 1/2 of the cheese mixture over the tomato sauce. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese over cottage cheese. Then sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top. Repeat again, then place last 3 noodles on top and cover with remaining tomato sauce. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and place in oven. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
